Received from Sara in Canada, July 2012.
I have received the most pretty items from Sara, who is living in the Newfoundland. This is a place I have been dreaming about visiting,
as I have been imagine how it would be living there. Perhaps one day!
I really like the little white dishcloth with the pretty texture. Sara's nan have been knitted it. I'm going to use it at my studio, just like
she does in her home. Both her aunt and sister knits them too.
I'm in love with feathers and this one is so beautiful. She writes me it's from a handmade owl.
I'm totally in love with these small tiny brown envelopes. They are from a vintage book on how to draw birds.
The whole letter from Sara.
The bit of torn wallpaper is from the basement. Sara wanted me to have a little piece of her home, as she used to sit in the basement making craft when she was younger.
Dear Sara, thank you so much for your beautiful letter. I so much love the feather.
Received from Laura in the U.S.A., July 2012.
Laura is known as suburbanpenpal on flickr and she love writing letters and makes the most beautiful envelopes. On her blog you can see some of them.
She is a Master student in art history at San Jose State University. In her thesis she would like to write about mail art.
My letter from Laura is full of pretty details.
A beautiful embroidery in cross stitch. Love it!
Beautiful shades of pastel colors.
Details of a tag, a little drawing and a quote.
Laura's pretty handwriting.
A little envelop of a Japanese design with Laura's personal stamp. I like these kind of old stamps.
Shnelly Mail!
Dear Laura, thank you for your lovely letter to me. Your embroidery is hanging in my studio.
