Like me Patrice collects feathers and I like to take close-up photos to see the structures.
Tags with bees and pretty embroidery yarns in nices shades of greens. Together with a nice printed card, made by Patrice.
She loves the sea, the smell, the colors of it and of the dunes; the grey, the greyish blue and the greyish green, as the colors of the embroidery thread. 
Pretty mother of pearl buttons.   
 A sweet printed sparrow on canvas linen fabric, together with a cross stitch cross.
I'm so in love with the pinned-holes. Patrice have made this one for me on a square piece paper, her favorite format.

Dear Patrice, thank you for your amazing letter. There are so many treasuries in it, not easy for me to choose one as my favorite, but I have hang the printed sparrow on my studio wall.

FROM SASKIA

Saskia from knoopjes has send me the most beautiful letter. From her holiday in France where she has been camping with her husband
and two children in Britanny, she has been visiting fleamarkets. And so sweet of her she thought of me when buying some of the
treasures.
My beautiful letter full of treasures.
On her holiday Saskia manage to buy an old typewriter which has the most beautiful font.
A photo taken by Saskia and a pretty "fleur-de-lis" to the right. It's traditionally used to be put in the Kings Cake around the Christmas season.
The plate with the blue/white lines is stunning.
This little handmade thing, perhaps a button is the most beautiful piece in the letter. I'm totally in love with it and will now start to look
for these when visiting fleamarkets myself.
A pretty handmade Hedebo embroidery.

 From the beach, a pretty stone full of holes. I think it's wonderful and a good inspiration for new weaving structures.

Ana has send me such a beautiful letter. She is living in Porto and is a former architect, but is now deeply in love with contemporary jewelry and illustration. See more of Ana's beautiful work here.

I have so much fallen in love with the two small shells Ana send me, so therefore I have tried to take different photos of the structures. I like the shades, textures and the almost mother of pearl color. So pretty!

Amanda from Sampling has send me a nice letter.
She work as an architect during the day and she likes to knit, weave and sew during her free time.
Pretty letter in white and red with a little bit of blue.

Amanda's grandfather use to have a linen shop in Melbourne and these pretty handkerchiefs are from there. They are so lovely. I like this kind of old textiles with embroidery.


Different kinds of weaving structures Amanda have made for some years ago in mercerised cotton.

I have received a pretty colorfull letter from Fanny, who studies textile design in Bruxelles. If you are interested in seeing Fanny's projects you can see it here and her lovely photos here. 
Lovely colors and a beautiful sample of yarn.
Like me she likes visiting fleamarkets, the handkerchief is from one. And she has made a little drawing too.

A sample dyed in the Shibori technique. I really think this looks wonderful, as Fanny have chosen a textile which already have a pattern. They goes together in a beautiful way.

I have fallen in love with Barbara's beautiful blog mdmslle. Her photos are full of lovely atmosphere and this is why I asked her if she wanted to be part of my textile letters.
Barbara is studying communication & media design in Mainz.

Her drawings is so amazing. The Swan is the National bird here in Denmark and I like walking at the small lakes in Copenhagen, feeding them.

FROM SARA

Received from Sara in Canada, July 2012.

I have received the most pretty items from Sara, who is living in the Newfoundland. This is a place I have been dreaming about visiting,
as I have been imagine how it would be living there. Perhaps one day!


I really like the little white dishcloth with the pretty texture. Sara's nan have been knitted it. I'm going to use it at my studio, just like
she does in her home. Both her aunt and sister knits them too.
I'm in love with feathers and this one is so beautiful. She writes me it's from a handmade owl.
I'm totally in love with these small tiny brown envelopes. They are from a vintage book on how to draw birds.

The bit of torn wallpaper is from the basement. Sara wanted me to have a little piece of her home, as she used to sit in the basement making craft when she was younger.

Donovan is an amazing woman and I'm really impressed by her energy. She is the woman behind Letters Writers Alliance on flickr and
she also have the beautiful art blog the INtangible blog. It's full of beautiful handmade drawings by Donovan. Besides all this, she writes
about 100 letters each month. WOW!
Some of the bits of the whole letter from Donovan.
The striped ribbon is from the stationery store where Donovan use to work. The foil printed paper is Hell Money rescured from a
dumpster. Old stamps.
Inside a little envelope I found all these small things. 07 numbers, Happy Holidays stickers ect.

Donovan have made me a little book and on each page a new item was inside it. I were so impressed.

I have got the most stunning and beautiful letter from Julia, full of nature treasuries. Her letter makes me so happy. The blog The Sheer Stories makes me longing for making lovely DIY projects or walking in the grass an early morning.

Pressed flowers and leaves, all part of her own personal collection. I feel so lucky.
In the top a little crochet flowers she has made herself.
Polypodium vulgare.

On an old postcard with polish children in the higher polish mountains called Tatry, some of the pressed flowers was sticked to the back. I love these flowers which you will see many of in the Spring.



An amazing little flower put inside a handmade piece of paper. And a leaf with a pretty skeleton of threads.

I have fallen in love with the photos of Camila's Não Me Mande Flores beautiful blog. I don't understand what she writes, but I like
visiting it often.
Camila work as a freelance writer and lives in Rio de Janeiro.
The colorful letter from Camila, which makes me so happy.
She has send me two pieces of Chita fabrics, which is a cotton fabric with prints in strong colors, usually florals. The top fabric portrays
a weel-known figure in Brazil specially in Bahia. Baianas are women who are engaged in the profession of selling the delicacies of Bahia cuisine.

Yellow buttons and dotted ribbon, with a pink thread. So lovely.
A sweet little banana felted brooch made by Camila. He is so sweet, with his red cheeks.
