Received from Ana in Portugal, August 2012.

Ana has send me such a beautiful letter. She is living in Porto and is a former architect, but is now deeply in love with contemporary jewelry and illustration. See more of Ana's beautiful work here.

My beautiful letter from Ana with a red pencil.

I have so much fallen in love with the two small shells Ana send me, so therefore I have tried to take different photos of the structures. I like the shades, textures and the almost mother of pearl color. So pretty!
A little orchid leaf with it's beautiful lace like pattern.
Different kinds of plastic flowers putted together.

Some of Ana's colorful beautiful illustrations.
Dear Ana, thank you for your lovely letter. The two small shells have I hanged up in my studio.

Received from Barbara in Germany, August 2012.

I have fallen in love with Barbara's beautiful blog mdmslle. Her photos are full of lovely atmosphere and this is why I asked her if she wanted to be part of my textile letters.
Barbara is studying communication & media design in Mainz.
My pretty letter from Barabara.

Her drawings is so amazing. The Swan is the National bird here in Denmark and I like walking at the small lakes in Copenhagen, feeding them.

She had made me a little card with different threads of sewing on.

A little pressed flower.

FROM JULIA

Received from Julia in Poland, July 2012.

I have got the most stunning and beautiful letter from Julia, full of nature treasuries. Her letter makes me so happy. The blog The Sheer Stories makes me longing for making lovely DIY projects or walking in the grass an early morning.
Love, love, love!!!
Pressed flowers and leaves, all part of her own personal collection. I feel so lucky.
In the top a little crochet flowers she has made herself.
Polypodium vulgare.

On an old postcard with polish children in the higher polish mountains called Tatry, some of the pressed flowers was sticked to the back. I love these flowers which you will see many of in the Spring.

An amazing little flower put inside a handmade piece of paper. And a leaf with a pretty skeleton of threads.
Dear Julia, thank you so much for your beautiful letter. Your Polypodium vulgare is hanging in my studio.

FROM LOTTE.

Received from Lotte -Belle Fleur de Lis in Belgium, June 2012.

I have been patience for a long time and finally my letter from Lotte have arrived, and I'm so happy. The waiting time was so worth it.

Lotte is an amazing young woman. She is right now attending bobbinlace classes, hoping one day to become a teacher in this amazing technique. Her wonderful blog Belle Fleur de Lis is so fragile and pretty. Lotte  combine her love for flowers, crochet and lace in this blog with the most stunning photos. I so much love it.
When opening the letter from Lotte, it took my breath away. She has made this, oh so beautiful package full of treasuries. I feel so special.
Lotte have made this doily which were going to be part of her Crochet Treasuries. The yarns she has used is a little crispy to the touch, and it gives a nice tactilily.
An old doily she has thrifted from a second hand shop in Antwerp, her favorite city.
Beautiful pressed flowers. The red Astrantia Major to the left is one of my favorites. In Denmark it's called Stjerneskærm. I so much like this name as Stjerne is a Star.

This doily is not so big. It is made of a combination of a glimmer /glitter yarn together with the light pink. So pretty.
Some of Lottes pretty photos. If you want to follow Lottes process of her flower inspiration into her crochet and bobbinlace work, please visit her flickr.

Lotte have also send me some of her more woolen crochet work, which is part of her pattern research.
The colors and the wool is a good combination.

Dear Lotte, I want to thank you for your amazing textile letter to me. The little glimmer /glitter doily is hanging in my studio together with the pressed flowers. And the doily you have made specially for me is in my home.
Thanks to you, I have signed-up for a bobbinlace class. I feel so happy.
