Ana has send me such a beautiful letter. She is living in Porto and is a former architect, but is now deeply in love with contemporary jewelry and illustration. See more of Ana's beautiful work here.

I have so much fallen in love with the two small shells Ana send me, so therefore I have tried to take different photos of the structures. I like the shades, textures and the almost mother of pearl color. So pretty!

Like me she likes visiting fleamarkets, the handkerchief is from one. And she has made a little drawing too.

A sample dyed in the Shibori technique. I really think this looks wonderful, as Fanny have chosen a textile which already have a pattern. They goes together in a beautiful way.

I have fallen in love with the photos of Camila's Não Me Mande Flores beautiful blog. I don't understand what she writes, but I like
visiting it often.
Camila work as a freelance writer and lives in Rio de Janeiro.

The colorful letter from Camila, which makes me so happy.
She has send me two pieces of Chita fabrics, which is a cotton fabric with prints in strong colors, usually florals. The top fabric portrays
a weel-known figure in Brazil specially in Bahia. Baianas are women who are engaged in the profession of selling the delicacies of Bahia cuisine.

Yellow buttons and dotted ribbon, with a pink thread. So lovely.

Sara from The Weight Of Dreams have send me this beautiful letter. There were so many treasuries in it, so I have sellected a few.
Sara is a teacher and she is right now reading the book: Daughter of the Forest by Jliet Marillier, which is one of favorites.

Received from Emily in Australia, July 2012.
Emily wrote and asked me if she could join my textile letters. She loves all sort of vintage items; from postcards to buttons to old clothes sewn into something new.

Small pom poms put on a string. Perhaps for sewing onto a furniture.

I'm in love with the vintage postcards Emily have send me. This one is a little bit special, when turning it around I saw it was from Helsingør, here in Denmark. So in a way, this postcard have found it's way home again.

Emily have a button collection and the one she has send me is so fantastic. They are full of texture.

The patchwork in hexagonal are pieces Emily's Grandmother were going to make into a blanket. They are out of vintage materials, leftovers from the clothes her Grandmother made for her mother when she was a little girl. I feel so special that she has send them to me.

I'm totally in love with Lisa's work and she write on her flickr this: "i make stuff. all kinds of stuff". I simple love these words.
Lisa lives in Oakland with her husband and there 3 year old daughter, together with two cats and dogs. She has her own studio where she work as a mixed media artist and makes graphic design projects. She has several blogs and I'm so impressed by her creativity and work. I have just right now found out that Lisa have made a book and it can be ordered through amazon and can also be seen here. It looks fantastic!

Detail of Lisa's card. I love the details with the stars and - - - - -. If you have a look at Lisa webpage, there is a "red thread" in all.

A color chart for Gutermann 2011. This card is really special. I like the rainbow colors together with the drawings of the sewingthread.

The card which Lisa send to me. This kind of work can be seen on her flickr and this is the reason why I invited her into my textile letters, as I were hoping she would send me something like this.
To the right a screen print test from her. This pattern with the lines interacting into each other is an amazing piece of textile.

The whole letter were wrapped into this screen printed piece of fabric from her stash. The burnt orange color is so pretty. And a little vintage doily.

Received from Anjali in England, June2012.

Anjali graduated last year from Chelsea College of Art & Design, specialising in printed and digital textile design. She has been in Jaipur, India for a 3 months internship this year and earlier she has also been a volentering in Peru, at a school and medical center in the center of Lima.

Anjali is working freelance for a textile agency and would like to start up her own market selling scarves and bags. Here you can see some of Anjali’s work and here you can follow her process in the textile printing area.

Different kinds of yarns from the University. I like the variety in the yarns with the shiny polyester together with the soft mat wool.

Embroidery sheets from an old Scandinavian textile book. I love this kind of diagrams and will try to make some of these stitches.

Julie has the amazing blog Daisies & Daffodils with the most pretty photos. I like to visit often.

She lives in Haarlem, close to Amsterdam. Today she is working in a bank, being creative with numbers. In her free time she likes to draw, do crochet, write letters and work on little projects. As she writes: "many ideas, only little time, always work in progress".

The envelope itself is a piece of art. I so much love the flowers.

This tiny little button Julie has sent me is so amazing, beautiful and pretty. I wish I had a lot. There is so much detail in the embroidery stitches. I would like to make some of these too.

Julie’s boyfriend is from Portugal and every year they visit his family. The Portuguese stamps with a lot of details are fantastic. Some look like tiles.

Kristina writes to me that even when she was a little girl she has always been impressed by exceptional fibers, structures and techniques. She has always been knitting, crocheting and crafting.

She likes working with paper, linen, straw, crepe yarns, silk and wool.

The card is full of the yarns Kristina likes to work with: Italian silk crepe, silver thread from Japan, Shifu –paper thread, straw, horsehair, llama –dyed with onion and homespun, paper thread from Japan.

The weft is homespun soy silk and cotton. I’m impressed by all the homespun yarns Kristina makes and uses in her weavings.

I like the softness and the simple complexity in the inlay. A very beautiful sample.

Received from Monika in Scotland, June 2012.

In the beginning of June I received the most amazing natural textile letter from Monika. I have got to know Monika through her flickr red2white, but she also have a very nice blog. Monika comes from Slovakia, but lives with her husband and two children in Inverness. When Monika moved to Great Britain she learned to felt. She loves the process of the raw wool when it is transformed into a cloth. She likes cloth a lot and see felt just as one out of many.

The full textile letter, all natural.

Homespun yarns made by Monika in naturally wool colors. So beautiful and full of texture.

I’m not sure what this is, it is very fragile. I’m so much in love with the structures, surfaces and colors.

A cloth of patcwork, where different kinds of fabrics have been sewn together. On top an eucaluptos leaves. The detail of the printed is so rich and full of details in the colors.

A little book with different kinds of wool felted. Each one gives a new expression.
